Silverdale Youth Baseball has a different approach for umpires depending on the division. Here are the details:
- Tee Ball - Coaches/Parents Umpire
- Rookie - Coaches/Parents Umpire
- Minors - Umpire Stipends/Credits
- Majors - Umpire Stipends/Credits
- Babe Ruth - Paid Umpires (Professional Organization)
Mission:
To fairly and accurately enforce the rules of the baseball game, ensuring a smooth and fair playing experience. Promote a culture of collaboration, support, safety and friendly competition to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
Silverdale Baseball Umpires has a unique program designed to recruit, train, develop, support and compensate new and experienced umpires.
We specialize in developing rookie umpires with little or no experience. If you or someone you know is curious about umpiring youth baseball we have a fantastic opportunity for you!
Silverdale Baseball provides all of the following completely FREE to anyone committed to work one game or more;
- Online Umpire 101 certification from Umpireclassroom.com
- In person, classroom, on-field, and one on one training sessions with experienced umpires.
- On-going support and training throughout the season.
- Protective umpire gear and uniform
Compensation:
- $10/game concessions credit (Plate and Field Umpires)
- $30/game direct payment (Plate Umpires Only)
- Opportunities for premium games may be available for select qualified umpires.

Getting Started:
- Send email to [email protected] and let us know you are interested!
- Register as Umpire in Sportsconnect to start background check process (Login is in upper right of this website) and follow these directions:
> Click Volunteer in the left pane
> Click +Volunteer at the bottom of the main screen
> Click Show All Available Options at the bottom right of main screen
> Click Minors or Majors Division and then View Selected Opportunities
> Click Umpire and then select your profile to continue
> Answer questions and you should be all set!
- Review Resource & Training links above, take annual umpire training offered by Silverdale Baseball
- Sign up in Stack Officials for scheduling, and pick trainee assignment(s) as needed
When ready, log into Stack Officials and pick your lead umpire assignments - Play Ball!
